Sudden death remains a significant public health challenge and a critical concern in forensic medicine in Uzbekistan. Defined as unexpected natural death occurring within a short interval, often less than one hour from symptom onset, sudden death frequently occurs in individuals with previously undiagnosed cardiovascular or systemic conditions. This study aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of sudden death in Uzbekistan, focusing on incidence, primary causes, and forensic investigative approaches. Data were obtained from forensic autopsy reports, hospital records, and national statistics. Cardiovascular causes, particularly myocardial infarction and cardiomyopathy, were predominant, accounting for over 50% of cases. Morphological examination remains the cornerstone of forensic determination, though histological evaluation is applied inconsistently. The study emphasizes the importance of modernizing forensic protocols, incorporating histological and molecular analyses, and systematic documentation to enhance diagnostic accuracy, legal reliability, and public health strategies.
