This article examines ways to improve the methodology for developing the professional competence of medical students in a digital educational environment through the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. The study is grounded in a competency-based approach and focuses on the pedagogical potential of AI-driven tools such as intelligent tutoring systems, adaptive learning platforms, learning analytics, and virtual clinical simulations. Particular attention is given to the formation of clinical thinking, digital literacy, decision-making skills, and continuous professional development competencies. The article proposes a methodological framework that combines traditional medical education with AI-supported personalized learning, data-driven assessment, and interactive digital resources.
