Abstract

This study investigates the impact of interactive games on vocabulary development among young learners. Vocabulary acquisition is a crucial aspect of language learning, and traditional methods often fail to engage children effectively. The research examines how interactive game-based activities, including digital applications, role-playing, and collaborative challenges, influence vocabulary retention, active use, and learner motivation. A quasi-experimental design was employed with children aged 6–8, comparing an experimental group using interactive games with a control group following traditional instruction. Results showed that the experimental group demonstrated significantly higher post-test scores, greater enthusiasm, and increased spontaneous use of vocabulary in meaningful contexts. The findings highlight that interactive games are an effective pedagogical strategy, enhancing engagement, social interaction, and cognitive development, while providing a dynamic and learner-centered environment for early language acquisition.
