AI applications such as intelligent tutoring systems, chatbots, speech recognition software, automated assessment tools, and adaptive learning platforms enable teachers to personalize instruction and increase student engagement. However, despite these advantages, the integration of AI into English language education also presents several challenges, including ethical concerns, data privacy issues, technological inequality, and the potential reduction of human interaction. This article examines the opportunities and challenges of using artificial intelligence tools in English language lessons and discusses their impact on teaching effectiveness and student learning.
