Abstract

Language strives to get rid of everything cumbersome, from excess, excessive expenditure of physiological efforts that complicate the work of memory. In this regard, everything unnecessary falls out of speech, this or that sound in the word, a word or phrase in a sentence is omitted, the rules and norms of literary pronunciation are not observed, but at the same time, these changes should not interfere with understanding the meaning of the utterance. This paper examines the principle of linguistic economy and its reflection in the Uzbek language. The relevance of the study can be explained by the fact that the changes occurring at each level of the language system can be explained by the action of this law. The study used such methods as the method of linguistic description, observation, interpretation, methods of contextual, linguostylistic analysis, helping to reveal the patterns of functioning of the main types of linguistic economy.
